When planning your big day, there really are a million and one things to remember and it can be easy to leave the smaller tasks to the last minute. We believe that the dainty details make as much of an impression as the big ones and it’s often the little things that are the most personal.
Sorting out your wedding favours can be a time consuming job - especially if you’re incorporating them with your place settings. We’ve created a new range of favour labels so all you need to do is pick the design you like, send us a list of your guests names and let our favour-fairies do the rest… simple!
The good news is, even if you’re not having favours – these luggage style labels look really cute tied round your napkin or cutlery as a place setting of its own.
If you have any other ideas on colours, designs & themes, let us know and we’d be happy to create something new for you. x
We've been super busy this bank holiday weekend embellishing some sweet little jam jars, all ready to form the table centrepieces at Ellie & Andy’s wedding in May.
To complement their rustic theme, we’ve incorporated vintage lace applique details alongside hessian tied with raffia, a mix of ribbons, string and a little more lace. We’ve also added some silver diamante ribbon to some of the jars… after all, who doesn’t like a bit of sparkle?!
These table centres are so simple to create but make a beautiful visual display with the addition of twinkly tea lights or fresh seasonal blooms. x
It’s nearly the Easter weekend and although the sun isn’t shining just yet, we’re full of the joys of Spring!
For some wedding springspiration (yup. It’s definitely a real word!), check out our ‘Spring Colour Palette’ board on Pinterest. This seasons colour palette comprises cooler softer tones mixed with pastels and nature-like neutrals. x
How gorgeous is this bride to be?!
She’s totally rocking one of our custom made hen sashes and I think we can all agree she looks absolutely stunning. Paying homage to her Dutch heritage, we went for an orange themed sash with tulip print material, orange embellishments & embroidery.
We hope you had the happiest of hen's Saskia ...... the countdown is ON! X
Introducing this gorgeous vintage Raleigh butchers bike - our most recent project all ready to be up-cycled (…pun intended!)
We’ll be busy bee’s giving the latest addition to the HVWH collection a new coat of paint and some TLC over the next few weeks, just in time for those glorious spring and summer weddings.

If you’re a boho bride planning a festival wedding, check out our ‘Top of the Props’ Top Tips to help you plan the perfect shindig!
1. Let Mother Nature do her thing
Some of the most beautiful weddings are also the most natural ones. Although Mother Nature is mostly responsible for this point, we believe we can help enhance the natural beauty around you by adding a few extra special details. Twinkly fairy lights, gorgeous bunting (bold or pastel flags), shabby chic accessories (wooden crates, stepladders, wicker hearts etc), paper lanterns / pom poms – all items which compliment this theme like a dream!
2. Pick décor that bends in well
Floral & Rustic details look great as festival décor. You’ll be amazed at how stunning natural looking materials such as hessian work alongside pretty floral prints. Check out our Hessian table centres, runners and chair bows as an example. Don’t forget, it’s not just the big stuff your guests will notice.. even tiny details such as your favours will have an impact.
3. Super Signage
Our fab wooden direction signs are a definite must have for a festival style wedding. Whether you want to make a feature for photos or spruce up the less attractive areas of your venue – plonk one of these down and you’ve instantly created that festival vibe. (Note: all of our wooden signs can be personalized)
4. The after party!
Encourage your wedding guests to carry on into the early hours by giving them a little treat for their dancing feet. Our hand embellished flip flops presented in one of our vintage style suitcases come in a range of colours and sizes. We don’t want any excuses from your guests… if those tootsies are sore they can simply put a pair on and dance some more!
2. Fancy Dress
If you’re a regular festival goer, then you’ll know that when it comes to dressing up - absolutely anything goes. Encourage your guests to express themselves and have fun by throwing a few fancy dress props in the mix. We’re talking masks, wigs, feather boas, lips, glasses, hats.. you name it. Not only is our vintage style photobooth a super fun feature to have at your event, it's also a really good way to make your guest look totally ridiculous, erm... I mean totally awesome!
In addition to the pointers above, please also check out the ‘Festival Weddings’ board on our Pinterest page for some fun and inspiring Wedfest ideas. If this style of wedding’s good enough for the likes of Kate Moss & Poppy Delevingne, it’s definitely good enough for you! x
