Night of the Living Wed.

Are you planning a spook-tacular wedding aimed to trick & treat your guests in time for Halloween? Whether you’re going for ‘gothic-chic’ or ‘elegant autumn’– we hope that our top tips paired with some of our favourite Halloween-themed images inspire you to plan a boo-tiful day!

Elegant Autumn:

Deep, warm & natural tones including burnt orange, rich plum & earthly olive work perfectly for this type of theme.  If you want to add a little sparkle to your day (… you can never have enough in our opinion!) we recommend sticking to bronze & gold tones to compliment this seasonal palette.

Gothic Chic:

Get creative with some striking colour combinations to compliment your gothic themed wedding. This doesn’t mean you are restricted to the classic black, white & red (although the contrast between these colours does work rather well) - soften things with muted greys, rich blues, purples & violets. It can be difficult to get the right balance between ‘bold theatrical drama’ and ‘soft elegant romance’ but we think these images are a wonderful example of hitting the brief perfectly

Vintage Step Ladders

10/20/2016

Our vintage step ladders have been lovingly upcycled using a gorgeous coco chalk paint & although I may be slightly biased, they really do make the perfect prop for any vintage styled wedding or event.

Not only do they create beautiful rustic displays, they are also incredibly versatile!
Here’s a few ideas on how you could use them on your big day:

Display your wedding favours.

Serve canapes or drinks.

Create a rustic and vintage themed ladder arch (…this could be the perfect spot to exchange your vows!)

Create wedding signage & direction signs.

Use your vintage ladder as a photo prop.

Thank you so much Mrs Middleton for your kind words and for sharing these beautiful photo’s from your special day. The smiles & merriment are an absolute joy to see & we must also credit your talented friend Jessie Dennis at Glamorose Cakes for her beautiful creation! .... Now THAT’S what I call a wedding cake!

“Completely over the moon with the service provided by Hampshire Vintage Wedding Hire!

We hired the cake slice, photo frames, easels, blankets, garden games and beautiful bunting - everything looked perfect on the day, and Lizzy was so helpful from start to finish.

Thank you so much for making a stressed bride's life so much easier!”

Nick & Gemma’s Beautiful Barn Wedding!

10/3/2016

Our utterly gorgeous bride Gemma wed her charming groom Nick last Friday at Bury Court Barn – a stunning venue set in the heart of Hampshire’s beautiful countryside.

Rustic beams & exposed brick make this venue a fabulous canvas for such a special occasion but do not be fooled by our use of the word rustic… this converted barn oozes all the rural charm one would expect but has been converted to a very high standard and offers modern and polished facilities (www.burycourtbarn.com).

We had the pleasure of supplying our vintage photo booth for this special day & given the beautiful venue and beautiful newlyweds, we reckon we had an easy job!

Upstairs in the gallery amongst the oak beams, our Vintage Photo Booth comprises carefully selected props including masks, wigs, feather boas, lips, glasses, hats… heck - we've even got a lightsaber in there! All displayed in our rustic wicker baskets and vintage style cases with a wooden shabby-chic dressing screen, wooden stand with string & heart pegs (ideal for Polaroid photos) and an abundance of fairy lights for some extra sparkle!

We’re particularly excited to see the photos from this wedding but for now, here’s some we took earlier!
